Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Tarangire National park
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, you will drive approximately 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park, enjoying the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania along the way. Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive, exploring the park’s vast savannahs, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal rivers. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, diverse birdlife, and wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, followed by an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, transfer to Twiga Campsite & Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Distance: 130 km. Day 2 :Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Ngorongoro Crater, arriving at the rim in time for a morning descent into this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth and hosts an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. Enjoy a 5–6 hour game drive on the crater floor, spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos, and possibly the endangered black rhino.
