We booked a 3 day safari to Serengeti National Park, including a sunrise hot air balloon safari, with Toilo Tours & Safaris, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. A special thank you to Julius for arranging every detail so professionally. Communication was excellent, and everything went exactly as planned, making our trip completely stress-free. Our guide, Edwin, was absolutely amazing! He is incredibly hardworking, knowledgeable, and passionate about wildlife. Thanks to his experience and determination, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five along with countless other incredible animals. He always made sure we had the best wildlife viewing opportunities and shared fascinating information throughout the safari. The highlight of our trip was the sunrise hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti. Watching the sun rise above the endless plains while wildlife roamed below was breathtaking. It truly captured our hearts and is an experience we will never forget. Thank you again to Julius, Edwin, and the entire Toilo Safari team for creating such wonderful memories. Excellent is not enough for Toilo and for Julius the owner. I found it stumbled on Google maps while I was looked for an agency in Arusha. Julius has been very kindly and professional as soon I got in touch with him. I would to spend 7 days on Kilimanjaro for hiking and then 4 days for Safari and he sent me a detailed itinerary, with all info I needed. For Kilimanjaro he reserved for us two excellent guides Frank and Angela who follow us for all the week, always smiling, awesome and very skilled! About Safari we spent 4 days between Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with a shared service: everything has been amazing from the guide to the lodges where we slept. Julius is always reachable, if you need some info or help he reply you immediately by WhatsApp taking care of you. Thanks for everything Julius! We booked a 3 days 2 nights safari with Toilo Safaris as an activity during our honeymoon and we couldn’t be happier! The director Julius is a great guy and is extremely responsive and organized. He helped us select the best flights and created a personalized safari package for my wife and I. He even gifted us a surprise at our lodge where the staff had organized private dinners for us around a camp fire. In terms of value for money, I truly believe this trip was worth every penny! The tour guide was also very experienced and took us on great game drives and ensured we spent enough time watching the animals. During the game drives, we were pleasantly surprised to see that we had daily fresh hot meals prepared for us. Compared to other groups around us, we could see that this was not the norm but rather an exceptional service by our friends at Toilo! This is the most professional safari company there is. Their attention to the smallest details is what truly makes the difference. The guide, in particular, was exceptional—he knew every little detail about the safari vehicles and took the time to explain everything to us thoroughly. They genuinely cared about our comfort and well-being throughout the trip. It is worth mentioning that they have an excellent command of English, making communication easy and enjoyable. Going on a safari in Tanzania was one of the best experiences of my life, and I highly recommend that everyone experiences it at least once. I chose a camping safari because I wanted to spend as much time as possible in as many parks as possible, and also have the opportunity to camp inside the parks themselves, which makes the experience even more intense and authentic. I travelled solo, and Tolio placed me in an absolutely fantastic group, made up of a family and another traveller. Our guide, Francis, was outstanding, as was the cook who travelled with us. We always had hot and delicious meals, even in the middle of the safari. I truly believe that the people make the safari, and this was very evident during this experience. The guide explained everything about the animals, shared stories about the local culture, and showed great respect for the animals and for other guides — all with great professionalism. Throughout the safari, the atmosphere was always light, positive and joyful. We brought biscuits for the journey and, over the course of five days, we became a real family. We sat together at the table to talk, sing, share stories and then rest. It was a beautiful and genuine sense of togetherness. We made a point of always having the guide and the cook sitting at the table with us. Regarding the campsites: The Serengeti campsite could benefit from better bathroom facilities, and each vehicle could have some washing basins to help with dishwashing. The Ngorongoro campsite was very good, with excellent bathroom facilities. I especially loved the fireplace and the social atmosphere in the common area. The hardest moment was when the safari ended. We didn’t want to separate or stop doing safari. I was truly happy during those days. When I chose this safari, Tolio sent me a very detailed program, which helped align expectations. During the trip, we were also surprised with one night in a lodge, which made the experience even more special 😊 I met many travellers who were frustrated with safaris booked through other companies that did not deliver what was promised, which made me appreciate this choice even more. My main recommendations are: choose carefully what type of safari you want and which parks you want to visit - clearly define the type of accommodation you want (camping, lodge, or mixed) - read carefully the detailed program provided by the company - be flexible — not everything is guaranteed in nature. The migration, for example, does not happen when we want it to. Animals don’t wait for us. I highly recommend a camping safari, whether you are travelling solo, with friends, as a couple or with family. Tolio was impeccable — the entire support team helped greatly with logistics, organised transfers to the accommodation, and were always kind and available.
