Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Arusha - Southern Serengeti (Ndutu)
After breakfast and a detailed safari briefing, you will depart for Ndutu with a packed lunch. The 260 km journey takes approximately 5.5 hours, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where landscapes transition from hilly forests to expansive plains. Ndutu lies within the Serengeti ecosystem and is a key stop on the Great Wildebeest Migration route. Between December and April, it serves as a crucial calving ground for over two million wildebeest, alongside zebras, antelopes, and gazelles, attracting predators and offering thrilling wildlife sightings. Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive – Ndutu Region
After an early breakfast, you will set out on a full-day game drive in the Ndutu area, one of the most rewarding regions for wildlife viewing during the calving season. With a packed lunch provided, you will spend the day exploring the vast plains and woodland habitats that make Ndutu so unique. This region, located between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
During this time, the plains come alive with thousands of newborn wildebeest, while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are never far behind. In addition to the migratory herds, the area offers excellent sightings of resident wildlife and bird species around the seasonal lakes and waterholes. After an eventful day in the wild, you will return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ndutu - Ngorongoro Highland
After breakfast, embark on an exciting morning game drive in the Ndutu region, offering a final chance to witness its remarkable wildlife. Following a half-day of exploration, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before beginning the scenic 75 km drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, which takes approximately 2.5 hours, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular natural landmarks, is famous for its dramatic scenery and rich concentration of animals. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight in preparation for the next day’s adventure. Transport: 4WD custom safari vehicle.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
On your final safari day, enjoy breakfast before descending into Ngorongoro Crater at 6:30 AM. Spot elephants, lions, rhinos, and more during a 5–6 hour game drive.
